Garlic
There is nothing quite like the smell of garlic cooking in the kitchen. A member of the allium family (with relatives including leeks, onions, chives) garlic can be prepared in numerous different ways. When buying garlic, look for bulbs that have not sprouted and have firm cloves (when they become soft, discard). Store your garlic at room temperature in a dark spot with good air circulation.
